$3,081.00 WORTH of CAMARGO PRIDE Representative Ben Chandler formally announced the grant recipients of schools receiving Bluegrass PRIDE grants on August 29th at Garrard County High School. Camargo Elementary School was one of the schools in seven counties that were awarded a total of $46,000.00 in Bluegrass PRIDE grant funds for environmental education projects. Camargo Elementary will receive $3,081.00 towards an Outdoor Environmental Classroom.
Family Resource Center PUBLIC RELATIONS GRANDPARENT’S DAY Family Resource Center Volunteer Training The FRC held a parent orientation training for approximately 20 parents. These parents will be used throughout the year in teacher classrooms and school wide activities. We love our families and were so happy to invite our Kindergarten and First Grade Grandparents to lunch this month! Camargo had 140 Kindergarten and 100 First grade Grandparents! We had a delicious meal….. MUFFINS with MOMS 137 mothers came to school early in the morning to spend quality time with their child in a positive school setting!
Student Achievement First Round of MAP Fall Assessments in grade 1 -5 are completed and teachers are analyzing this data. MAP Fall Assessments percentiles by teacher and grade levels have been charted for progress monitoring. (See below) Administration, teachers, students and parents now have a visual of their student’s progress and growth. (Below, teacher showing her class where they rank in Reading and Math. Student Achievement each classroom to display “Top Notch” * Distinguished work samples are posted outside each classroom to display “Top Notch” expectations for all students. * All teachers have Individual Data Notebooks on Weekly Formative Assessments in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. * Administration has been trained and chairing all ARC meetings. Very positive change for our teachers and students by now understanding and knowing student barriers and needs. * “Star Bucks” behavior incentive program has taken off like crazy. The students love the new program and the first Grand Opening of the “Star Bucks” store will be this Friday!
Extra Curricular Programs Academic Team has begun with tryouts followed by parent and students meetings. STLP ( ) had their first practice with approx. 40 students involved. All teachers have Individual Data Notebooks on Weekly Formative Assessments in Reading, Writing, Math, Science ,and Social Studies.
