Density lab Intro. Remember:

Density Lab intro. How to measure the mass. Make sure the scale is on the gram (g) setting. A solid object can be measured simple by placing the object on the scale. A liquid needs to be measured in some sort of container (ie beaker or graduated cylinder) Make sure to just measure the liquid by either recording the mass of the container or taring the mass of the container before pouring the liquid.

Density Lab Intro. How to measure the volume. Regular solid measure the height, width, and length. V = HxWxL Irregular solid measure using displacement. Fill a beaker with enough water to submerge the object. Record the water level before and after placing the object in the water. The volume is equal to the difference. Liquid simple place the liquid into a graduated cylinder and record the data.
