Paragraph Structure. Connectives. Comprehension Text structure. What is each paragraph about? Connectives. Which connectives are used and why? Comprehension What is the text about? Text structure. What type of text is it and how do you know? Cohesive devices. Is repetition, synonyms, pronouns (I, you, she, he it,) or sentence patterns used?

Success Criteria All: You will be able to find the structural device being asked for e.g. connectives. Most: You will be able to explain how the structural devices have been used e.g. Connectives have been used to show chronological order. Some: You will be able to analyse how the structural devices have been used and the effect on the audience e.g. Connectives have been used to show chronological order which suggests that the instructions need to be followed in order for the making of a cake to be successful and it makes the instructions logical.
