Cooperative Service Partnerships With DOVES: Domestic Violence Education & Support

What is DOVES? Natchitoches Domestic Violence Education & Support Groups, Inc. is a local, stand-alone non-profit program that is funded by grants & charitable donations. We provide advocacy services, 24-hour Hotline counseling & referral, peer group counseling, education & safety planning as well as temporary emergency shelter to victims of family violence, regardless of gender, faith, ethnicity or age.

What is DOVES Philosophy? Our Advocates follow an Empowerment Model to assist the victimized to live free from the threat of danger, safe to pursue their individual goals for themselves & their children.

Empowerment Through Advocacy

Our Goal To affect local policies, practices & perceptions affecting domestic violence victims through educational endeavors, public awareness & collaborative community partnerships, so that survivors of domestic violence are treated with skill, understanding & respect.

It takes a village… Victims of Domestic Violence function within the same arenas that you & I do, every day… Yet they are frequently not helped due to unintentionally harmful practices, or ignorance.

… to foster Peace. Thats why we need your help, to partner with us cooperatively in helping our communitys victims become survivors by collaborating and raising awareness.

Whats a Cooperative Service Partnership? A CSP is a good faith agreement between DOVES and yourself, or your organization, business, church or school. A CSP is developed so that: A- Each may share with the other opportunities for better services to domestic violence survivors B- Each may share with the other opportunities for more services to domestic violence survivors C- Each may share with the other more opportunities for service to domestic violence survivors

How does a CSP work? DOVES and the potential partner discuss ways they can accomplish service goals for domestic violence survivors. They make plans for exchange of information, educational opportunities & parameters for referral & service access. A couple of times a year, they get together for networking & re-evaluation of the partnership agreement.

Where do you fit in? Our Partners come to us from the Criminal Justice & Court system, the Healthcare community, Educational institutions, area Businesses, Churches & Service Organizations.

Would You Like To Partner With Us? Wed love to Partner with you! Contact our Program Coordinator at DOVES, Inc. at (318) or We will work with you to design an agreement that is mutually beneficial for you, us and the people in our community victimized by domestic violence. Fly Free From Pain to Peace
