Senior Project Coordination Objectives and Procedures By Dr. Muhammad Elrabaa

COE485 Coordination: What is it? To coordinate the efforts of COE faculty members in offering, supervising, and evaluating senior design projects A high-level of coordination is necessary due to the nature of the course (the course objectives are practically being carried by all faculty members simultaneously)

Coordination Objectives Manage the complex process of offering, supervising, and evaluating 30+ projects per semester with 45+ students Support the faculties’ efforts in producing high-quality projects (teaching project management, system design and partitioning, communication skills …etc.) Coordinate the evaluation activities to ensure fair and consistent grading

Coordination Objectives, Contd. Help the students to realize their maximum potential (advising on suitable projects) Help the students improve their communication skills Help the students to develop professional attitudes and work habits (by setting up deadlines and enforce them, planning …etc.)
