1:1 Rollout Digital Learning Program This year, every student in the district will receive an iPad for his or her educational use during the school year. These devices will increase students’ engagement in the classroom with the integration of digital learning by our teachers. 1:1 Rollout Student Benefits of the Santee School District 1:1 iPad Program Include: · Providing instant access to up-to-date information and current events as well as digital books and multimedia resources · Fostering critical thinking skills to do research that encourages proactive learning · Strengthening communication skills and literacy · Availability of multiple collaboration tools · Individualizing learning for each student · Preparing students for high school and college work · Expanding students' working knowledge of effective methods to problem solve and complete tasks All students will have access to a standard suite of apps that will be used in the classroom for their education.

FOLDERS FALCON FOLDERS: Go home every night Contain their unfinished work from the day Contain their Homework on Fridays Contain any fliers or handouts Contains student passwords WORK FOLDERS: Stay at school Contain all unfinished work from the day Students will use any free time to complete assignments

HOMEWORK All assignments will be listed on the homework packet All homework is due Friday mornings. Students will receive a new packet Friday afternoon. Homework may be unfinished work that needs to be done at home and brought in the following day unless otherwise specified.

DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES Behavior Pockets Five Class Rules designated with a specific color stick After three verbal warnings, student will have to place the appropriate stick in their behavior pocket Sticks may be removed after a period of time without the repeated behavior Students without sticks in their pockets by the end of the day will receive a sticker on their behavior card. A sticker filled behavior card gets them a trip to the treasure box.
