Section 2 The Bowel Test Kit

Your bowel test You will get a bowel test kit in the post It will be sent to your home

Who has bowel tests ? All men and women between the ages of 60 and 74 will get a bowel test kit Bowel test kits are sent out every 2 years

What will I get ? You will get a: Letter Test kit Instruction leaflet Freepost envelope

Your bowel test When you get your bowel test kit you can decide if you want to do the test Its your choice!

What if I decide not to do the bowel test ? You will be sent a reminder letter in 6 weeks If you still don’t want to do the test that’s OK Its your choice!

What if I decide not to do a bowel test ? It is very important to go and see your doctor if you develop any unusual symptoms like: Bleeding from your bottom Pains in your tummy Feeling very tired a lot of the time Losing weight without trying It is important to go for your annual health check

Will the test hurt ? NO This bowel test kit will not hurt at all!
