MAFS.4.OA.2.4 Factors and Multiples Summative Assessment How many equal groups can the students in Mrs. Gordon’s class sit in? Mrs. Gordon is preparing for her math class of 24 students. Draw an illustration to show your possible groupings. Acceptable answers include 1x24, 24x1; 2x12, 12x2; 3x8, 8x3; 4x6, 6x4. Arrays that depict any of the previous factors are acceptable. There are 43 journals to be stored. How many equal cubbies could the journals be stored in? Draw an illustration to show your possible groupings. Acceptable answers include 1x43 or 43x1. Arrays that depict any of the previous factors are acceptable. How are the number of possible groupings in the first problem different from the total number of groupings in the second question? The first problem has many factors but the second problem has just two factors.
