GOANIMATE! FOR SCHOOLS A VIDEO Web 2.0 Tool

What is GoANIMATE FOR SCHOOLS? GOAnimate For Schools is a Video Web 2.0 Tool App that teachers and students use to cultivate higher-order learning AND thinking skills. Crucial skills such as, creativity and critical thinking come alive through video representations right inside the classroom!

Who thought of such a Thing? GOAnimate For Schools was the brainchild of Alvin. Alvin wanted to make a video, but found that it was so difficult and time consuming. In ‘07, Alvin pointed, Clicked, dragged and Dropped and “VOILA!” GoAnimate was born for EVERYONE.

About GoAnimate for Schools The library is filled with characters, settings, actions and props. Lip-sync is automatic! Charts and graphics are animated There is a 14-day free trial period to help get started There is a Flagship Whiteboard available that features hundreds of actions across numerous occupations, and activities. It is easy for digital immigrants to use Digital natives love its easy use and access It is secure for private members and schools

Logging in ****This is one of the parts of the Web 2.0 Tool App that I found challenging, but was very pleased at how it works. Establish your membership either private/individual or through or for your school. Once you are established under your membership, follow and write down or make a note of your user id, password, and order #. Go to the e-mail you provided Return to GoAnimate website as directed, but be aware of how to log in. Remember ….this is a secure site!!!! And is designed to prevent surfing by the students and/or others.

Make a video!!!!!! Click on make a video Decide the content area, the concept, the skill that you want the students to explore The students can then interact depending on the age, grade level and level of intellectual thinking. Such as: K-12 Special needs/exceptional children

Who gained the most by using GoAnimation for Schools 2.0 tool? the teacher Guided the student and engaged the student into using the app Modeled application and taught the lesson (zoo animals) in its simplest form the student Chose the subject, the background, the content Gave feedback and new thoughts about the concept taught by the teacher Enjoyed the lesson and felt good and challenged to create more.
