The length of an automobile is much less than a mile, but much greater than an inch. b. a computer keyboard An appropriate measure is inches. Estimating Length and Area COURSE 2 LESSON 8-1 Choose a reasonable estimate for the perimeter of a piece of paper: 40 in. or 40 ft. The edges of a piece of paper would be measured in inches. So 40 in. is the better estimate. 8-1
