What we have done Life saving rule on speeding and seat belts MORR Update What we have done Life saving rule on speeding and seat belts Dedicated Policy on Management of Occupational Road Risk Fair culture introduced with panels and union support Improvements vehicle specifications including fall protection and manual handling - built on accident data Reverse parking mandated Life saving rule revised to prohibit hands free mobile devices Change in driver policy - removing motorcycles for business and promoting use of alternative meeting systems, train and hotel use Business wide safety stand down on driving VSWS rolled out across >8,500 fleet vehicles Improved fleet specifications hi-viz chevrons, NCAP, option for dash cam and driver aides Suite of driver training developed and available Fatigue standard revisions to include commute and travel time 28-Feb-19

Speeding - Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIPS) Notices of Intended Prosecution Speeding - Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIPS) Since the introduction of vehicle telematics we have seen a steady reduction in the amount of Notice of Intended Prosecutions raised against Network Rail employees when driving our vehicles fitted with VSWS Hire vehicles that are not fitted with VSWS have not decreased in NIPs at the same rate This data supports the theory that the implementation of vehicle telematics to Network Rails fleet is promoting positive safer driving behaviours. Safer driving is a key part of the Lifesaving Rules. 28-Feb-19

Road Fleet Update VSWS Speeding Events Speeding event process. Driver details remain anonymous. Since product launch - 79 validated speeding events have been raised to the business (76 x 10mph+ events and 3 x 20mph+ event). Over the last 7 periods, we have seen a marked decline in speeding events. 28-Feb-19

Road Fleet Update Fuel Data Reporting Since the fitment of telematics to Network Rails fleet, fuel expenditure has decreased significantly. This indicates in a reduction in miles travelled also.
