Part 1: Strategic Context The problem addressed Summary description of the practice Summary of documented performance and impacts The generic value case It is most important that the reader has a clear appreciation of the strategic context of the leading practice in question, and of the potential for individual mines, and the industry in general, to benefit from adoption of the practice.

Part 2: Adoption Guide Clarify potential for the mine to benefit – develop the value/business case for the mine Ensure existence of a clear implementation decision by mine manager Identify project manager and team for implementation Identify adopters (supervisors/workers) and stakeholders (management, OHS Committee, Unions, Safety Reps) Identify initial implementation site Briefing of adopters and stakeholders and communications plan Behavioural Communication plan and Leadership Behaviour plan Visits to and or discussions with source and demo mines In this Part of the guide all of the special considerations, precautions and procedures that the mine should take in implementing the practice are set out in sufficient detail for the mine to be able to plan and execute the work without uncertainty about what they need to do to achieve successful adoption.
