In case I forget… Remember your formative experiences: they are part of your story, and can help shape your career decisions. Look out for role models, not just mentors. If you don’t look like you need advice, you probably won’t get it. So, learn to ask for it. Put your employer and customers first, always. The job hunt changes as you go up the ladder, and so your approach needs to change also. Everything and everyone is connected; everything you do matters. Your reputation is critical. Authentic leadership is way easier when you are confident enough to be yourself.
