Integrating Community Service in to your 4-H Club Ideas to help you add community service to your club and inspire youth to be proactive

What is Community Service for Youth? Intended to strengthen young peoples' senses of Civic engagement and community

How Does Community Service Help Youth? helps them achieve their educational, developmental and social goals (Wikipedia, 2012).

Community Service and 4-H Record Books: (Pg 19) Member Requirements/District Awards WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A YEAR END PIN? (Leader makes determination for yearend pin.) Member must have: 1) Completed at least one 4-H project (See project record book for criteria for a completed project) 2) Participated in a community service activity 3) During the year, do at least one presentation 4) Participate in at least one district/community event, representing 4-H

CITIZENSHIP/COMMUNITY SERVICE: (Pg. 20) List activities you did without pay to help others. Include activities done with your club as well as by yourself.
