STAR 360 2018 Data Report

The purpose of this presentation is to provide a general overview of student performance in the areas of math and ELA. Please note this is just one of many pieces of data which is collected in the areas of math and ELA. This information along with all benchmark assessments administered to the students are always available to the parents. Parents should always ask questions about these assessments as it specifically relates to their child’s academic performance. In order to maintain open lines of communication, parents should always inquire about the academic plan for their child. The plan should include specific strategies which will help to increase or enrich student performance.

STAR 360 Adaptive online assessment which identifies the student’s instructional level, as well as areas in need of improvement. This assessment offers various reporting options such as standards reports, student screening reports and class needs.

Next Steps Overall growth was evident in both ELA and Math. In the upcoming school year: Set targeted SMART goals in the areas of ELA and math for each building. Work with state representatives to help support teachers in instructional practice and professional learning. Through the NJTSS grant, we will work with Rutgers University and state representatives in order to ensure proper implementation of RTI at CO and BG Schools. Language Arts Supervisor will work with teachers in increasing the level of rigor in the instructional practice of Balanced Literacy. Closer analyzation of performance data gathered from the Danielson Framework for Teaching and identify areas in need of improvement. Continue to better analyze student performance data.
