The Challenge To design and create a car that will roll down a track at the fastest possible speed. You only have $700 to purchase supplies to construct your car. at

Materials Budget Item Cost per Item Number Purchased Total Cost Lifesaver Mints $75 3   $225 Straw $100  1 $100  Popsicle Stick $50  2   Masking tape – 12” 2  Notebook Card $25  $50 Paper Clips Total Spent

Car 1 Test Results Time stopped Distance Feet: 0.79

Improving our Design Our Goal: With our $200 we purchased: Our goal was to loose most of the tape and to make the car’s wheels move because the car had to much tape on it so nothing could move also the wheels were stuck on the car. With our $200 we purchased: We purchased 2 paper clips because the paper clip aloued the wheels to move so they were not stuck like on round one.

Car 2 Test Results Time 4.05 Distance Feet: 10

Design Process Strength Our car had not a lot of drag, and a lot of thrust to make it go down the ramp faster. Future Goal We want to not make the wheels as wobbly because then it would go faster down the ramp.

Team Collaboration Strength Sharing our ideas because Michael shared, and Elena shared, and we could use the ideas to make one car. Future Goal We want to not argue as much because then we have more time to build our car, and we’ll have more time to test drive our car.
