Do Now: Heading: C.E.R Lesson Pt. 2 Pick up the worksheet from the front table Turn in HW from last night to the HW bucket Open your journal to the next clean page Take out notes and rubric from yesterday

Today’s Purpose To identify different pieces of evidence and determine whether or not it is important to support our claim.

Your Task You will have 15 Minutes to INDIVIDUALLY read the given scenario and answer the 6 questions in your journal.

* Other table groups will be using the rubric to grade your argument* Group Arguments In table groups you will have 20 minutes Construct a C.E.R argument that will help the police determine which customer to arrest You must have at least 2 piece of evidence in your argument! Use your notes, the rubric, and the template from yesterday to help you * Other table groups will be using the rubric to grade your argument*

Each group’s final grade will be the average of the two peer grades Argument Grading Each group will grade 2 different arguments You will have 5 minutes per argument Groups will use the rubric to determine the argument’s grade and then write two positive and two constructive comments on the rubric Write the grade and the comments on the rubric you are given, NOT ON THE ARGUMENT Each group’s final grade will be the average of the two peer grades
