How are living things organized? Organism: a living thing that carries our life processes by itself Multicellular Organism: made up of more than one cell Unicellular Organism: made up of one cell

How are cells grouped? Specialized: perform certain function What are some advantages to being an organism with specialized cells? What are some disadvantages?

How are cell organized? Cells → Tissues → Organs → Organ Systems Tissue: a group of similar cells that carry out the same function

How are cells organized? Organ: a structure made up of a collection of tissue that carries out a specialized function Different types of tissues work together. Think of the stomach. Which different types of tissues are working together?

How are cells organized? Organ System: a group of organs that work together to perform body functions Each organ has a specific job.
