SPRINGS MONITORING Two-year comprehensive baseline study of the lower Santa Fe River springs with local and state partners 66 sampling stations Water quality testing parameters include: Chemical analysis such as nitrates Herbicides and pesticides Dissolved oxygen Temperature pH Specific conductance Vertical light attenuation Horizontal secchi disc readings Flow measurements Ecological surveys (fish, birds, vegetation) Human use surveys Ecosystem metabolism and community export of particulates photos by John Moran

Coming in 2019: Aquifer Footprint Calculator BLUE WATER AUDIT Three to five-year project that will quantify human impacts on the Floridan aquifer. Estimates Nitrogen loading and groundwater withdrawals of commercial industry, residential, agriculture, and natural systems Parcels over 5 acres are individually analyzed If under 5 acres, residential land uses are analyzed Connecting the dots of data that already exists (USGS, FDEP, WMDs, DOH, FDACS) using GIS More info at www.BlueWaterAudit.org Coming in 2019: Aquifer Footprint Calculator
