IB Learner Profile

IB Learner Profile Starting with the oldest person in your table group, go around the group to the left and number off 1-10. Each person will have 2-3 numbers to remember (write them down if you easily forget!) When you get the Learner Profile handout, please do the following: Read through your assigned learner traits Silently come up with examples of what that trait would look like when a student is “doing” that trait.

Table Group Turn & Talk One trait at a time, share with your group: In your own words, what is the definition of the trait? What does that look like? Ask each other clarifying questions if you have any!

In-Class Reflection Get 2 stickers per person and print your first name and last initial on each of them. On the chart of Learner Profile Traits, place a sticker under the column of each of your two strongest traits. When you get back to your groups, talk about what your strengths are and why you think that.

Reflection Homework In a Word document, respond to the following: Of the 10 Learner Traits on the IB Learner Profile, which two do you feel are your strongest? How are you going to use that strength to benefit your class? Which one do you feel is your weakest? How could you try to improve yourself in that area? When you are done with your document (about 2 thorough paragraphs, about 1 – 1.5 pages), please upload the document to the assignment posted in your turnitin account. This should be uploaded no later than Monday.
