Chapter 19.2 (Pgs ): Patterns and Processes of Evolution
Species Change Over Time. What is evolution? Definition: The gradual change in a species over time Takes a Looooong time Results from a change in the.

Evolution  Change over Time Natural Selection  Process by which inherited characteristics are passed on more frequently and that enhance the survival.
What is Natural Selection? The Theory of Natural Selection explains how one species might be able to change into another.

For Your Poster Posters should be colorful – no pencil! Include the following: An illustration of your animal WHY is your animal evolving? (what is the cause? Environmental changes, climate change, habitat change, new location, etc.) HOW is your animal evolving? (in what way is your animal changing physically or genetically?) Give a brief description of how this is happening. For example, which members of each generation are surviving to pass on their traits? How is this changing the population/species?
