Social Living: Students will discover why we celebrate national holidays like Veterans Day, the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. We will discuss national symbols as well. Transitions/ Stoplight paragraph about Veterans Friday Homework Due Writing: Opinion Paragraph Students will complete a stoplight opinion paragraph denoting a characters actions and feelings. From Teacher’s Desk the This week we will delve into civic responsibility. We will discuss that love in its highest form is sacrifice. Students will begin to grasp that our independence as a nation, the bravery of the first pilgrims, and even the sacrifice displayed by veterans is why we are privileged to be Americans today.
