Cultural Identity Writing: Questions to help your thinking How does the way you look differ from who you identify as? This could be about your age, gender, ethnicity, interests, and even physical attributes. How does your parent’s version of you differ from your own? Do they have different goals and ideas for you than you do for yourself? What stereotypes do people assume about you that aren’t true? Many times our first and last names give a clue about our culture. What do you know/like/dislike about your name? What do you want to say about your culture? What do you want others to know about you?
