Negative Block:

What have we done so far- Created our 1AC’s & Extensions Used indentifying SI Tagging Created a logical story line using evidence to show a harm in society that case can solve or mitigate for.

Goals of each team in debate Aff- to prove there is a significant problem and their plan will solve the problem, there is a barrier to plan, and provide a/several benefit(s) of doing said plan. Neg- Prove Aff plan is not needed, already being done, won’t solve, or cause some major negative consequence for doing plan.

Neg Case Neg Block- negative case arguments for all speeches Neg upholds the Status Quo Current System is working! These are “on-case” arguments Arguments that deal directly with plan and what the aff is doing. If they are saying increases terrorism- Don’t run privacy doesn’t matter- DIRECTLY attack Use to mitigate that the harms are not that bad or not occurring

Negative Block Organized by STOCK ISSUE they COUNTER. US Passed USA Freedom Act Terrorism will increase The right to privacy is not a blanket right

How to Construct Title Arguments at top Group like cards together Can build a story line within the argument Think Cause-Effect

Tagging Tags need to be PRO-Neg (wording and prospective.) Privacy is a vague term with uncertain Constitutional standing. No actual abuse comes from lack of privacy Secrecy is a matter of national survival -Obama recently passed reforms checking potential NSA abuses.

Think What did you argue in your 1AC AND Extensions Can you counter it with your neg packet you are building? Do you have Affirmative material to counter the Neg you are finding? If not: MAKE MORE AFF Evidence!

Your assignment Construct negative block. You are assigned certain cards AC is working on the topic as a whole MUST PRINT NEATLY. Have a friend check your tags

How much is needed?

Well…..

Well, your Team Depends on YOU If you do not do your required area, the ENTIRE class does not have the information. This happens to us from Brookings.
