Running a Basic Report (example)

Creating a Custom Report Variety of configuration options enables customization Report can be saved and recalled Process Select the report Basic report is the foundation for the customized report General tab Name and description Parameters tab Select parameter options Classes tab Select device class Match class with entity/entities selected Save the report

Creating a Custom Report – General Tab Change report name and description Option to make the report available globally or only to the user Click Save as New to save the new report Hint: Click Save as New after configuration is complete. If you click Save as New from this window you have to click the Reports tab, open the new report and click the Customize this Report link to continue.

Creating a Custom Report – Parameters Tab Available parameter configuration options Range of options determined by the basic report selected

Creating a Custom Report – Classes Tab Filter the report to include entities for one or more classes Class selection automatically filters the entities that the report will include Default value is all classes; select the check box for individual classes to apply class filtering Selections in the Classes tab supersedes selections made in the Parameters tab Click Save as New

Retrieving a Custom Report Locate in same group as the base report Sample custom report – Time to Resolve – in Alarm Reports

Creating a Customized Report - Review Variety of configuration options enables customization Report can be saved and recalled Process Select the report Basic/standard report is the foundation for the customized report Click Customize this Report link. Enter a report name and description. Select the check box ‘Make report available for other users’ if you want to share this report. Select parameters that will define report data. Parameters and criteria will vary by report Click Save as New. Select the Reports tab. Locate the custom report, click the link, then click Run Report.

Modifying and Removing a Custom Report Modifying a report Select the report. Click the Customize this Report link. Modify the report parameters. Click Save. If you want to create a new report, rename the report and click Save as New. Removing a report Click the Remove this Report link.

Setting Up a Standard, New Framework Report 1. Select a report 2. Select a collector 3. Select a date range 4. Click Run Report

Changing Report Parameters - Collectors Select a report – each displays a description Single collector or multiple collectors Depends on report Multiple collectors selected from list of collectors in the system

Sample Standard CUCM Report This is an example of a CUCM weekly call activity report for a collector, for the first two weeks of the month of September:

Customizing a Report - Date Range Parameters Select Custom Range Select Start Date Select End Date Customized date parameters

Saving a Customized Report Set the report parameters and click Save Name and describe the report Recall the report No custom reports are shared

Reports - Archived Segments Archived report data Retrieve report data by archived date segments Each segment is approximately 2 weeks Maximum of 6 segments – as a new segment is added the oldest segment rolls off the list Select archive segment, then run report

Exporting a Report Set up parameters, run report, click Export. Export progresses to Done state. Click Download; open in application that is .csv enabled.
