Function Sets forth a comprehensive legal framework for the sea, the seabed and its subsoil as well as the protection of the marine environment and its natural and cultural resources. Represents an exceptionally important contribution to international relations, especially for Canada, which has the world's longest coastline and borders on three of the world's oceans.
