Day 32 Stretching and Compressing graphs

Introduction A comparison between the parent functions and other functions multiplied by constants reveals that some function appears stretched while others compressed. Our interest is to find out which kind of constants makes the functions stretched or compressed. We have will discuss these, based on the two main categories, vertical and horizontal stretch or compression.

Vocabulary: Stretching a function It refers to the act of making a function appear so widened or longer Compressing a function It is the act of squeezing function so as to appear squeezed This can be done in the notebooks or on vocabulary cards. Whatever system you use 
