class news Mrs. Connell’s What’s Happening in... Writing: We have started learning about personal narratives. We have learned different strategies to create story ideas (memory map, emotion map). We have also learned about a seed story. We are learning about ways to hook our reader. We have talked about adding sound, questions, actions, and dialogue to narratives. We are discussing adding detail and learning about transition words. We are learning how to edit our writing. We are constantly editing out rough draft. Social Studies: Today we continuing our unit about Native Americans, and how their environment affected them. Science: We are currently in Social Studies.
