The god(s) of Christianity The Christian faith believes that there is only one, true god. They also believe though, that God had a son called Jesus Christ who he sent down to Earth to preach the message of God. They say that the roman’s had received some complaints and accusations saying he was a criminal. As a result the roman’s crucified him and threw his body into a cave. They then rolled a boulder in front the mouth of the cave. Two days later on the Sunday they noticed that the boulder had been moved. When they looked inside they saw that Jesus was gone. He had been resurrected and had gone back up to heaven. The Christians believe that he died for our sins and let us start again.

The Origins of Christianity Most Christians believe in a triune god consisting of three unified and distinct persons: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. They claim that Jesus Christ was the son of God. Throughout history, the religion has endured schemes and theological disputes resulting in many distinct churches. The biggest of these churches are the Roman Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Protestant churches. Christianity began spreading from Jerusalem, and then through the near east, it became the state religion of Armenia in 301AD, Ethiopia in 325AD, Georgia in 337AD, and then finally the religion of the state Church of the Roman Empire in 380AD. It then became common to all of Europe in the middle ages.
