Inspiring Students Through Photography STRATEGIC PLAN Inspiring Students Through Photography

Purpose To provide a database of photos, which can communicate feelings and ideas. Holly Ballinger stated “(Photography) allows an individual the ability to communicate small moments in time when particular emotions or moods are felt”

Objective Put together a portfolio of photos taken by each member of the group so that we have a wide and diverse variety of photos. Learn how to identify situations or scenes that can convey feelings and ideas.

Audience Analysis Confine Faculty and Students (Primary, Secondary) Unaffiliated parties (Tertiary) Define Users want images to be aesthetically pleasing and have emotional or demonstrative content. Users want these images to be effective and call attention to themselves Refine Receive feedback from faculty and students Use feedback to adjust content

Messaging Goals We want our secondary consumers to think about what they are learning now We want our images to let users achieve their messaging goals Educational and/or thoughtful content

Key Messages Our Images will be consistent with the values of Salt Lake Community College. These values are collaboration, community, inclusivity, learning, innovation, integrity, and trust

Media Mix Producing stock photographs for Salt Lake Community College to use at their discretion. We want each image to be applicable to a variety of channels. Images will fit into these four genres: nature, still life, infrastructure, and graphic arts.

Budget Our team has determined that no budget will be needed, in order to complete this project Each member of our group will need a camera, computer, and software that will enable each of us to take, edit, and upload photographs. Google Drive provides up to 15GB of free storage, so no money will be needed and no budget will need to be made.

Tactical Plan To achieve our objective, we will follow our tactical plan as outlined Who What When Where Spencer Biggio Take, edit, and upload 25 total photographs of Still life and Nature July 17 Google Drive Take, edit, and upload 50 total photographs of Still life and Nature July 24 Alex Fitzgerald Take, edit, and upload 25 total photographs of Infrastructure and Still life Take, edit, and upload 50 total photographs of Infrastructure and Still life Kristin Gooding Take, edit, and upload 25 total photographs of Still life and Graphic Arts Take, edit, and upload 50 total photographs of Still life and Graphic Arts Andrew Pearson Take, edit, and upload 25 total photographs or images of Nature and Graphic Arts Take, edit, and upload 50 total photographs or images of Nature and Graphic Arts Everyone Select top 100 photographs to use in final project July 30
