ALWAYS dispose of gloves in approved containers. BE SAFE STAY SAFE GLOVES JANUARY 2017 SAFETY REVIEW Proper Glove Removal WASHING HANDS AFTER glove use is important. Use warm water - wet hands Apply soap – 15 seconds Rinse in same method Dry completely Only approved (e.g., impermeable) types of gloves should be used but this will vary by task – ask your supervisor if not sure. Gloves must be maintained intact, and stored in a clean and sanitary condition. If gloves become unsanitary or damaged, replace or re-sanitize them. Overall, for good sanitary practices, "treat gloves as if they were your hands." ALWAYS dispose of gloves in approved containers.
