ANZAC Day Webquest
ANZAC Day Celebrated on the 25th of April annually, ANZAC day is one of the most important Australian holidays. It commemorates the first major military action (the offensive at Gallipoli) of Australia and New Zealand during World War I.
Part 1 Go to this site. Answer the following questions: What is ANZAC Day? Why is this day so significant? All answers must be in your own words – no ‘copy and pasting’.
Part 2 Go to this site. 3. Why did the ANZACs land at Gallipoli? 4. List the events prior to Gallipoli.
Part 3 Go to this site and this site. Answer the following questions: What actually happened at Gallipoli? Summarise this in 50 words or less. List at least 3 problems faced by the ANZACs and Allies at Gallipoli. List at least 3 consequences of Gallipoli.
