Before The Internet... It was Arpanet October 4th, 1957 Soviet Union Launched Sputnik 1 Created fear of Nuclear Attack in the USA USA Responded with DARPA, an agency to focus on improving communication in face of an attack

ARPANet Quickly Expanded In 1969, DARPA was successful in linking the first two computers Many more computers added to ARPAnet over the years

Email invented by…? Email was invented before the Internet AOL WAS NOT THE INVENTOR OF EMAIL!

OFFICIAL Inventor of the WWW Tim Berners-Lee worked at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) Tim Noticed Scientists & Researchers weren’t publishing their findings Tim envisioned a simple system where you could publish without strict formatting requirements.
