SCALING & REPLICATING AN IMAGE INTO A DRAWING.

Exercise: AFTER GOING THROUGH THIS POWERPOINT, quietly grab a ruler, an image sheet (of a couch and hutch), and a green sheet of paper located near the front door. Follow my instructions throughout this PowerPoint and pick/redraw only one of the two images provided. The sub will write your name down if you are either: a) Talking too much/too loudly, b) Out of your seat c) Not working. This will result in an automatic write up. You guys are great, so I expect to come back to great remarks from the sub. HAPPY DRAWING!

11. Draw another horizontal and vertical line through all 4 quadrants.

12. Continue this pattern until you get this.

13. Begin to draw the outer contour of the image by focusing on each individual triangle. Focus on the shapes that make up the negative and positive space.

14. Once you have a good outer contour line drawing of your image, direct your attention to the inside lines.

15. You should have a clean and accurate contour line drawing of your image. Erase your guide lines and put your name on the back. I’ll collect them the next time we meet.
