Donations / Supplies Donations / Supplies Thank you for sending in your child’s supplies and classroom wish list items. From time to time I will ask for special donations such as art supplies, rewards, etc. I will communicate the needed items on the newsletter or in a DOJO message.

Behavior I like to focus on positive behaviors. We will use Class Dojo to do this. Your child will earn positive points throughout the week and record them weekly on their Dojo paper in their binder. You can also check their points by logging onto Class Dojo. I also use the clip chart system. You can evaluate your child’s behavior each day by checking your child’s agenda- please initial daily!

Communication My email: gregoryt@rcschools.net I will communicate through a variety of methods: newsletters, website, calendar, conferences, email, report cards, progress reports, DOJO, and the take home binder. Important letters, permission slips, etc. will come home in the front pocket of your child’s binder. Please read them carefully! It is best to contact me through email or DOJO. If you call, you will need to leave a message with the office, and I will get back with you as time permits.

Field Trips We plan to take 2 off-campus field trips. Class t-shirts should be worn on each trip. We usually ask for parent volunteers. Sometimes it is necessary for us to set a limit for the number of parents attending. Any parent attending a field trip must provide their own transportation.

Snacks and Birthdays We will have snack on an individual basis this year. Please send a healthy snack with your child daily. (water only, please) Lunch is from 10:05-10:35, so snacks will be eaten in the afternoon. If you would like to send a special snack for your child’s birthday, please let me know. Please send all snacks to school in the morning. School board policy indicates that all shared snacks must be store bought. If you send a special snack, please don’t forget all necessary supplies: napkins, forks, etc.

Celebrations We will have a few class or holiday parties this year. I will let you know in advance what I need you to send.

Transportation Please make sure your child’s transportation tag is on his/her backpack for the first couple of weeks. A change of transportation form must be sent if there is a change in your child’s transportation- calls will no longer be honored. These forms can be found in your child’s agenda. If you run out of those forms, a written notice will be taken. Dismissal begins at 2:30 and ends promptly at 2:45.

Thanks and have a great night!! I want to thank you for coming tonight and taking the first step towards a successful school year. I also want to thank you in advance for your help and support throughout the year. If you have any questions feel free to ask now! If you have not signed in, please do so before you leave. Thanks and have a great night!! Ms. Gregory
