Welcome to Ms. Parker’s Class

Folders If you are absent there is a red folder behind the door. This class is Block I. There is a Blue Basket by the window. All independent math papers go in the folder that is labeled Math. All independent science papers go in the folder that is labeled Science. Place your paper in the appropriate sections. Make sure you write your name on all papers.

Classroom Rules

1. Listen to and follow directions when given.

2. Come to class prepared.((f you need pencil or paper, ask)

3. Raise your hand and wait to be called on.

4. Stay in your seat unless you have permission. Even when Ms. Parker is out of the room. If I am out of the room, I will assign someone to take names. Class does not stop if I am not in the room. You are expected to keep working and stay in your seat. This is a safety issue!

5. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

Cell Phones, Fidget Spinners, Toys, and Personal Items Cell Phones: I am not responsible for any lost or stolen phones. If you have a phone keep it in your book bag on vibrate. Fidget Spinners/Toys: Keep them at home!! Personal Items: Please write your name on all of your personal belongings. I am not responsible for any lost or stolen items!!!

Behavior System There are 4 levels. Everyone has a clip with their name on it. Everyone starts on the College level. Inappropriate behavior will result in you moving down to the next level. College High School Middle School Fifth Grade

Hall Passes You must have a hall pass to go to the bathroom, office, etc. There is a sign-in and sign-out book for the bathroom. Anytime you go to the bathroom, you must sign-in and sign-out.

Changing Classes Make sure you have everything you need. Bring your math and science journal everyday. I will let Mrs. Scott know if you need anything else. Enter the room quietly and find your assigned seat. Refer to the board to see if there is an assignment. Begin immediately. I will dismiss you from class. Clean-up your area Line-up in your line order

Whole Group Conversation Voice Level 0 Help Raise your hand and wait to be called on. Activity Stay on task and on topic Movement No movement unless you have have permission.   Participation Positive participation Voice level 0 while teacher or student is talking Be respectful to the speaker Sit-up straight

Independent Work Conversation Voice Level 0 Help Ask 3 before asking the teacher. Use Voice Level 1 (whisper) Bathroom-Fingers Crossed DO NOT interrupt the small groups or students who are working. Activity Independent Work Movement Move quickly and quietly. Sharpen pencils, to get materials or place materials in the blue baskets Place completed assignments in green folder.   Participation Complete the assignments to the best of your abilities. Success
