INSPIRE Register Federation proposed test-bed setup 23.01.2015

Introduction and Goals The goal is to set-up a sample INSPIRE Register Federation simulate federation scenarios evaluate technical and organisational aspects. assist the development of a TG for the INSPIRE Register Federation

Use cases highest priority: ‘code list register’ involves.. EU level INSPIRE Registry  provision of code list defined by the IR & TG Member States  obliged to maintain extended code lists EU institutions and bodies  provide thematic vocabularies/thesauri on which INSPIRE code lists may rely on or should align with

Test-bed components to be set-up EU-level: Register of Register, INSPIRE Registry including a code list register by participating members: code list registers to connect to the federation vocabularies/entities (terms, codes, etc.) to be aligned with or to linked with code values maintained within the federation

Actions to perform definition of use cases based on code lists: example code lists to provide extension scenarios to test use cases for accessing code lists using container view use cases for managing codes using full view definition of test-scenarios: connection types to test topology scenarios participants providing code list registers set-up representations & API for container view: core vocabulary thematic vocabulary full view option: full vocabulary Performing test-scenarios and evaluation of use cases: participants perform selected topologies and connection types participants evaluate use cases

Envisioned Participants Implementation: JRC:  central Register of Registers  central INSPIRE Registry National Member States (1-2?)  national code list register to connect  … EU institution and bodies (1-2?)  thematic vocabulary to related or align with. Conception:
