Uses of “GUSTA” and “GUSTAN”
We use “gusta” with infinitives and singular nouns Somebody likes to do something. (to eat, to drive, to watch) Me gusta escuchar la música. Me gusta comprar la comida. With singular nouns Somebody likes a thing (a book, a car, a class) -me gusta el libro. Me gusta la clase.
We use GUSTAN with plural nouns I like cheese pizzas. Me gustan las pizzas de queso. You like the ice creams. Te gustan los helados. They like sports. Les gustan los deportes. We like books. Nos gustan los libros.
