Supplemental Figure 1 Morphokinetic decision tree algorithm used for embryo selection. For the division to five cells, a shorthand notation of t5 is used; we defined the duration of the second cell cycle (cc2) as the time from division to a two-blastomere embryo until division to a three-blastomere embryo: cc2 = t3 − t2. We defined the second synchrony (s2) as the duration of the division transition from a two-blastomere embryo to a four-blastomere embryo: s2 = t4 − t3. We defined direct cleavage as those cases in which cc2 was lower than 5 hours. The time of all events is expressed as hours after ICSI microinjection.
