What can the library do for me?

What kinds of resources do you have? Books! Databases! Magazines! Online Resources! Library Staff!

Books! How do you find books in this place? Just use our OPAC catalogue!. Aren’t sure how to use OPAC? Just check out this handy tutorial!

Databases! We’ve got lots of databases you can use, and you can find them all here. If you don’t know the password you need to get on to your database of choice, just contact the library staff!

Newspapers! You can access the Winnipeg Free Press Online! If you don’t know the password, contact the library staff. If you need to check newspaper archives for the Free Press or other newspapers, try using EBSCO.

Magazines! Want to kick back with a magazine, or do some hands-on research? Shaftesbury’s magazines are located right in front of the circulation desk!

Online Resources! From Atlases to World Book, there are lots of web resources archived online at the Shaftesbury Library website. Take a look at the big list here!
