TASK 1: TEAM ORAL DEFENSE SAMPLE QUESTIONS Defending the argument What information from your team report did you exclude from your presentation and why? Describe your thought processes as you prepared to deliver your argument to an audience. Which points did you want to ensure would be emphasized in the presentation? Which parts of the team report do you find most challenging to defend and why? Which part of the outcome suggested the need for possible future research? Which aspect of the transition from writing a report to delivering a presentation did you find the most difficult? What information did you learn about the topic that you had not been aware of and why is this information significant? How did you decide which perspectives to use in your argument? On page X of your Written Team Report, you reference [insert reason]. What evidence did your team find to support that reason?

Providing evidence of collaboration How did your team go about developing your research question? What changes did you make to the team report and presentation as a result of group discussion? On what basis did your team make decisions about what to include in the team report and presentation? What is one way you benefitted from other team members’ contribution to the report? How did you divide the work among team members and why did you decide to do it that way?
