Why cover 4? It gets 9 men in the box against the run game It handles play action pass with four deep defenders It takes care of 4 vertical routes Cover 4 is very adjustable against a wide variety of offenses It can be taught in a relatively short period of time It is easily disguised and gives QB’s a false pre-snap read
