Experiential Learning Programmes @ Big Heart Student Care Big Heart offers an all-rounded student care programme that consists of the following key components: Homework Supervision Character Building through the Values & Virtues and Life Skills Development Enrichment Programmes Health & Fitness through Outdoor Games and Sports Meals Provided A Conducive and Homely After-school Care Environment The programme complements the school curriculum with the objective of developing an inspired learner in school inculcated with the right values and virtues, and a responsible citizen who contributes back to society in the future. Values & Virtues Love2Read Our programmes focus on learning about values & virtues by integrating it into all daily activities. Pupils learn about good character through experiential learning and reflection time with ‘Let’s Meet!’ sessions. The “Love2Read” programme fosters a love for reading in pupils. A variety of reading, writing & reflection sessions allows for better understanding and increases their vocabulary bank too. Mathletes ImagineArt Pupils can enhance their creativity and express themselves through art forms like visual arts, dance, music & drama. Big Heart is also in partnership with National Arts Council, giving us more variety in Arts. Pupils collaborate in groups to solve logic puzzles or improve their money management skills. Workshops like “Maths Through Chess” develop pupils’ interest in Mathematics. Health & Fitness S.T.E.M. It Up! Our outdoor programme, aims to develop leadership skills and values like resilience, sportsmanship and teamwork while also building character. Pupils will also learn more about making healthy lifestyle choices. Pupils explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics with “S.T.E.M. It Up!”. They learn about simple, everyday concepts through exploring and creating with basic recyclable materials. Experiential Learning Pupils experience an all-rounded learning experience that brings all of the above together. They develop knowledge and social skills that make them effective members of the community. Learning is further enriched through learning journeys and customized workshops that brings fun into learning.
