Evaluating Website Info Evaluate this Site Evaluating Website Info Is it RELEVANT? Does it contain the info you’re looking for? Does it cite sources? What is the site’s PURPOSE? Give info, sell product, humor, etc. Is it BIASED? Leaning one way/one opinion Watch for biased ads What is the DOMAIN? .gov, .edu, .org, .com May or may not be reliable Is author RELIABLE? What are their qualifications? Is it CURRENT? Does it have a good LAYOUT? Organized info? Does it have ERRORS? Spelling/grammar? RELEVANT- For example, if you're searching for information about the history of skateboards, a site that sells skateboards may not have what you're looking for. ERRORS- shows little effort; was little effort put into researching the info?

Plagiarism: Claiming someone else’s words Legal Ramifications: if you receive a letter asking to remove content/delete files you must do so or you can be sued.
