Why did Jesus become human? “Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form. …Therefore it was necessary for Jesus to be in every respect like us, His brothers and sisters, so that He could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Since He Himself has gone through suffering and temptation, He is able to help us when we are being tempted.” Heb. 2:14-18 (The Living Translation)

Why did Jesus become human? “That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to Him and never stop trusting Him. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same temptations we do, yet He did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. Summary People look first at our exteriors: clothes, shape, hair, manner of acting & speaking, wealth, size of house, car we drive, where we were educated… God looks at our hearts: I Chron. 16:9, I Sam. 16:7; Deut. 19:10 “God is not a man…” He is looking for integrity: II Tim. 2:20-26
