“ARISE, SHINE”: HOW TO EXPERIENCE PERSONAL REVIVAL – Isaiah 60:1-3 God is awakening His people for greater exploits!

KEY THOUGHT The call to personal revival is a call to awakening for sleeping, sluggish and stagnant believers. It is a call to rise up from the ashes of spiritual darkness and death to the shinning light of the glory of God. No matter the degree of ruin, we have the promise of revival if we will make a genuine cry to God today! ARISE, SHINE!

SYMPTOMS OF THE TERRIBLE PRESENT ROT – Isa. 1:4-6; Ps. 74:9 How do I know that I need personal revival? Lukewarmness – Rev. 3:15-16 Spiritual dryness – Eze. 37:11-12 Loss of joy of salvation – Ps. 51:12 Loss of joy in service – Jonah 1:1-3 Closed heavens – Deut. 24:23 Prayerlessness – Matt. 26:39-41 No matter how terrible the present is, there is hope of restoration in Christ! “We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.” – Ps. 74:9

STEPS TO TOTAL POSITIVE RESTORATION – Joel 2:25 Total restoration is possible. However, there is a price to pay: Recognize – Rev. 2:5 Repair – I Kings 18:30 Repent – II Chro. 7:13-14 Return – II Chro. 30:9 Request – Ps 85:6-8; Hab. 3:2 “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” – Joel 2:25 God responds when His people return to Him

SIGNS OF TRUE PERSONAL REVIVAL – Isa. 60:1-3 The manifestation of the GLORY of the LORD is the sign of true revival: The light will break forth – Isa. 58:8 Flourishing in the midst of darkness – Isa. 60:2 Channel of blessing for others – Isa. 60:3 Increase and enlargement – Isa. 60:5 The Lord is able to revive dry bones. Make a personal genuine cry to Him now! “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee” - Isaiah 60:2
