“New York primary results”

Front-runners Donald Trump (R) and Hillary Clinton (D) swept to resounding victories in Tuesday's New York primary, with Trump bouncing back from a difficult stretch in his Republican campaign and Clinton pushing tantalizingly close to locking up the Democratic nomination. Trump captured more than 60 percent of the vote in New York and was headed toward a big delegate haul in his home state, a commanding showing that keeps him on a path to the GOP nomination if he continues to win. A confident Trump insisted it was impossible for his rivals to catch him. Clinton's triumph (>58% of Tuesday’s NY primary) padded her delegate lead over rival Bernie Sanders and strengthened her claim to the Democratic nomination that eluded her eight years ago. In a shift toward the general election, she made a direct appeal to Sanders' loyal supporters, telling them she believes "there is more that unites us than divides us.” The nominating contests will stay centered in the Northeast in the coming days, with Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania all holding contests next week.

In Other News Hacking the San Bernardino terrorist's iPhone has produced data the FBI didn't have before and has helped the investigators answer some remaining questions in the ongoing probe. Investigators are now more confident that terrorist Syed Farook didn't make contact with another plotter during an 18-minute gap that the FBI said was missing from their time line of the attackers' whereabouts after the mass shooting. The phone has helped investigators address lingering concern that the two may have help, perhaps from friends and family. The phone didn't contain evidence of contacts with other ISIS supporters or the use of encrypted communications during the period the FBI was concerned about. The FBI views that information as valuable to the probe, possibilities it couldn't discount without getting into the phone. Michael Strahan is leaving "Live with Kelly and Michael" and joining the cast of "Good Morning America" full-time, ABC said Tuesday. Strahan has been a part-time presence on "GMA," appearing a couple of days each week, but now he'll be on the morning show five days a week. The change will take effect in September.
