Welcome to the Your school name goes here Tournament

Today’s Tournament XX Rounds

Each Round Lasts Approximately YY Minutes

When the Announcer calls TIME, the player with the most points is the Winner.

IMPORTANT: Players always should keep playing until time is called.

Some Rounds will last only a few points, some as many as 10 or more points.

DON’T STOP UNTIL TIME IS CALLED!

If you are tied when TIME is called, raise your hand and a Referee will come to help you play a Sudden Death point.

When a Round is over, wait in your chairs until the Announcer gives you instructions.

When everyone is ready, the announcer will tell you to follow the directions on your Player Station Table Card

THIS IS A PLAYER STATION TABLE CARD. The Winning Player goes to this new Station The Losing Player goes to that new Station THIS IS A PLAYER STATION TABLE CARD. It gives you instructions for where to move next round

Each player should have an official Player Scorecard and a pencil.

Raise your hand if you don’t have your own Player Scorecard Be sure you have one now, and be sure to fill in your Name and your School Name right now. Raise your hand if you don’t have your own Player Scorecard

At the end of each Round when you move to a new Player Station…

TAKE your Scorecard, LEAVE BEHIND the pencil and the dice.

You will use your Player Scorecard to record what happens during each Round

Mark your Table Number on your Player Scorecard at the start of each Round

Tally each point that you win during the Round on your Player Scorecard

At the end of the Round, circle whether you Won or Lost on your Player Scorecard

Rules for Playing a Math Dice Point…

Once you call out a number, you must stick to that number until your opponent has found a closer number.

If you do call out a second number that is closer to the Target, you can’t use it.

Worse than this… your opponent can use it if they find an equation that works.

Players have 15 seconds to find a closer number than the one in play Players have 15 seconds to find a closer number than the one in play. If they can’t do so then the point is over.

If a player can’t come up with the equation you used to win a point: - First time this happens in a Round, is a Do-Over - Second time and beyond this, the Point is awarded to your Opponent

If you both call out the same number at the same time, or two numbers equal from the target at the same time… Call a Tie and Roll Again.

If you have a question or need a ruling from a Referee: - Raise your hand and one of them will come right over.

Your Referee has the last word on EVERYTHING!

Please use sportsmanship and be fair with each other while you play.

So now… let’s get going!
