Criminology involves analyzing illegal human behaviors and crime prevention methods. The field of criminology blends social science and psychology with criminal justice. As a criminologist, you'll explore the many causes of criminal activity among different groups of people.

Frequency? Criminologist work up to 40 hours a week but, it really depends on what level of crime you major in. For example, the criminal behavior they travel a lot so they are rarely home but the work up to the estimated amount of 50 hours but they are gone away from home more days.

Requirements? Criminology is a highly intellectual field, especially because the majority of the job's responsibilities rely on determining and analyzing criminal patterns. As such, many criminologists majored in sociology, psychology or criminology as undergraduates. These majors allow the criminologists to better understand human nature and their actions. Other common majors for criminologists include criminal justice and history. It is possible to enter the field of criminology with a bachelor's degree, but some criminologists choose to go on to pursue a master's degree in behavioral science. This will all take up to about 8 years, because I have to do 4 years to get my masters degree then 4 more to get my bachelors degree.

Levels and Positions There aren’t practically any certain levels but the highest paid position is behavior analysis which is involvement with the FBI that travels many places when regular police need more proficient work.

Where will I go to school for this? I will attend Maryland University because it’s the #1 college that’s best for criminology. It wil be 32,044 because I don’t live in Maryland. It will take 8 years maybe more if I want to be like top knotch.
