Studies on wheat straw and wood chips degradation in soil By Mythreyi Chandoor.

Contents Work accomplished till now Results and Discussion New Ideas

The basic idea was to incubate the wheat straw and wood chips Objective : Main Objective: The basic idea was to incubate the wheat straw and wood chips for incubation in Soil to look at its rate of degradation and model the system and also to find the soil Microcosm responsible for Lignocellulosic Degradation.

Work accomplished till now Soil Bags filled with wheat straw and wood chips Pint Jar Type : Palouse Moisture : 20% Carbon : 2.285 Sulphur: 0.02697 Phosphorous: 0.1711 Oven dried samples of wheat straw and wood chips Autoclaved pint jars Jars = 40 ,a set of 4 for every 4 weeks incubation temperature = 21 0 centigrade Control = soil .
